Long Ago and Far Away
In the old days Asian women were humble, devoted, content and artistic in various ways. I tried to express this deep emotion on her face , although it was challenging but it turned out quite well.
To make the painting unique I added some jade like beads on her hair and a metal tassel that is actually dangling. Also the cuff and lapel is handmade of embossed velvet like paper.
This painting is acrylic on canvas, 24" x 18" x 3/4" , sides are painted.
